Thank you for your interest in writing for SpiritMommy. Please read the guidelines below entirely before submitting your article for consideration.
To better serve our subscribers, we have put together guidelines for writers interested in submitting a guest post for publication on our blog. Please carefully read the following guidelines before submitting your request. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will not be considered at this time.
All guest post submissions should be tailored to parents. The primary goal of our blog is to bring value and actionable advice to our audience.
Detailed & Unique Content
All guest posts should provide a highly detailed and unique reading experience for our audience. We understand that most topics have already been written about, but we expect that if you choose to write about a previously covered topic, it’s from a unique and fresh approach. Guest posts that don’t offer a detailed and/or unique approach to the chosen topic will not be considered.
All guest posts should fall into one of the following topics:
- Baby Health
All guest posts should be a minimum of 2000 words (not including author bio).
The author must be an authority or expert on the topic for the article being submitted.
Author Bio Length
All guest posts should contain an author bio with a minimum of 50 words. The bio should provide relevant information about the author, including why the author is an authority or expert.
All articles on our blog are published to bring value and actionable advice to our audience. Guest post submissions containing self-promotion will not be considered. Links to high quality outside resources that organically fit within the article are acceptable.
Guest posts should follow formatting that adheres to the best practices for on-page SEO optimization. This includes but is not limited to the proper use of headers, bullet points, paragraphs, and highlighted text. Guest post submissions that are not correctly formatted will be rejected.
Guest posts should be unique to SpiritMommy and not published elsewhere. You are welcome and encouraged to promote a link to your guest post on your website and social media.
SpiritMommy does accept guest posts with links to outside resources. However, links may only be to relevant resources with medium to high domain authority and good overall trust scores. Our editors research all links that are submitted. If a link does not follow these guidelines, we reserve the right to remove or replace the link. Our team also reserves the right to add internal links to relevant content that is currently published on our blog. Please be sure to submit no more than 3-4 external links within your article.
Author Bio Links
SpiritMommy does accept guest posts that contain author bio’s with links to outside resources. Bio links may be to the author’s website, social media profile or blog. Please be sure to submit no more than 1-2 external links within your author bio.

After Submitting, Your guest post submission will be placed in a review process and will be given one or more of the following statuses
All submissions are automatically placed in-review. Our team will review your guest post submission, which takes 7-14 days. The average publishing time from the date of submission is 2-4 weeks.
Pending Additional Information
If your article is pending additional information, you will be notified via email. This status simply means we need more information regarding your guest post submission before accepting and queuing it for publishing.
If your article is accepted, you will be notified via email. The guest post will be scheduled for publishing, and you will be provided a URL once the article is live.
If your article is rejected, you will be notified via email. A rejection general means the submission violated the posted guidelines or is simply not a good fit for our blog or audience. At this time, there is no option to appeal a submission rejection, but you may submit a new guest post for consideration.
Guest Post Promotion
SpiritMommy will provide an email blast promoting our favorite guest posts to our subscribers and on our social media accounts. Not all guest posts will qualify for the promotion.
